Sunflower Kids Early Learning Centre offers government-approved 3-year-old and 4-year-old kindergarten programs. Led by bachelor-qualified Early Childhood Teachers, our programs will help children get ready for school by building their confidence, independence, and love for learning. Through play-based activities, children develop early literacy and numeracy skills, learn to follow routines, build friendships, and practice problem-solving.

Under the Victorian Government’s “Kinder: Best Start, Best Life” initiative, your child may be eligible for “Free Kinder” saving your family up to $2,101 annually. This subsidy is applied directly to your service fees and helps reduce your out-of-pocket costs after the Child Care Subsidy (CCS) is applied – equivalent to around $40 in savings per week.*

Four-Year-old kindergarten is becoming Pre-Prep, with programs across Victoria gradually increasing from 15 to 30 hours each week.

From 2026, Pre-prep will be available for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, children from refugee or asylum seeker background and children who have had contact with Child Protection across the state.
Or any child who was supported by Early Start Kindergarten or Access to Early Learning in their Three-Year-Old Kindergarten year is also eligible for Pre-Prep from 2026.

Pre-Prep hours will range from 16 to 25 hours each week for children who meets this eligibility criteria. Sunflower Kids is pleased to announce that we will be offering Pre-Prep program for eligible children starting in 2026.

Pre-Prep will start for all 4-Year-Olds children in Melton area from 2034.This means all 4-year-old children in Melton area will have access to 30 hours of Pre Prep.
